Do I need to read Arabic first?
No. Every phrase is written in simple English letters (plus a handful of symbols for sounds English doesn't have), with the Arabic script and the English meaning right next to it. You speak from day one, and when you want to read Arabic, we teach the script too.
Do you teach the Arabic script?
Yes. You don't need the Arabic alphabet to start, but we teach it: private lessons can start at Pre-A1, a level devoted to the letters and reading, and every phrase in the course and the books is shown in Arabic script beside the English letters.
Is this Saudi dialect or standard Arabic?
Saudi dialect — the everyday Arabic people use at home, at work, in taxis and in shops. Not the formal Arabic of the news and textbooks, which Saudis rarely use in conversation.
